This UNM Parent Connection Workshop focuses on getting student jobs and on the path to meaningful careers. UNM Career Services expert Marty Apodaca talks to families about ways students can explore interests that may lead to a college major, how to find summer internships, co-ops and employment opportunities, and how to land a job after graduation. The video includes a short tour of the UNM Career Services Office, which is open to students, alumni and the community year-round.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) addressed in a news conference on “The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.” that figures have been thrown around like paper money and talks about a comparison from a colleague regarding the trillion dollar bill. McConnell said he doesn’t think we should just completely act like the trillion dollar amount is irrelevant.
