UNM Anderson School of Management Associate Professor of Accounting Michele Chwastiak emphasizes critical thinking skills in the classroom. She also conducts research in how accounting abets rather than deters unethical behavior in the U.S. Department of Defense. Chwastiak was given a faculty acknowledgement award from University Libraries in February 2008 in honor of her contributions to scholarly research. As part of the event, Chwastiak gave a presentation of her most current research in a short lecture titled “War, Incorporated: Private, Unaccountable and Profitable.”
